Djupinlärningslösningar till stokastiska differentialspel för distribuerad styrning av multi-agent system
Bakgrund
Utvecklingen i världen pekar mot en situation där samhällen behöver försvara sig mot hot med ökande grad av autonomi, t.ex. drönare och svärmar av drönare. För att utveckla effektiva och tillförlitliga försvarssystem för att bekämpa dessa hot behövs försvarssystem med autonomi i, framförallt inom sensorsystem vars autonoma styrning innebär små risker. Ett sätt att ta fram styralgoritmer för distribuerade sensorsystem är att formulera och lösa spelteoretiska problem. Ett ramverk för detta är förstärkt inlärning i en multiagentkontext. Ett annat mer matematiskt ramverk bygger på stokastiska differentialspel. Där beskrivs dynamiken för varje spelare av en stokastisk differentialekvation med en tillhörande reglerprocess i drift- och diffusionskoefficienten. Varje spelare har också en egen målfunktion som styr dess preferenser.
Beskrivning av projektet
Projektet handlar om att applicera en djupinlärningsmetod som heter deep fictitious play för att approximera så kallade Nash-jämvikter, d.v.s. lösningar till spelet. Metoden bygger på avancerad stokastisk analys med så kallade Forward Backward Stochastic Differential Equations (FBSDE) och eventuellt även partiella differentialekvationer. En viktig del av arbetet är att förstå den teoretiska formalismen, formulera spelteorin och de approximativa metoderna. Tanken är att applicera metoden på olika tillämpningar med ett fåtal spelare som all antingen spelar med varandra eller i två lag mot varandra.
Din profil
Du är i slutet av din utbildning inom teknisk fysik, teknisk matematik eller liknande. Ett krav är att du läst stokastisk analys och att du gillar avancerad matematik och numeriska metoder. Det är meriterande om du har praktisk erfarenhet av djupinlärning men en stark matematisk bakgrund kan väga upp detta.
