For our client we are looking for a SAP CATS and Roles & Authorization Engineer.

    Description of the assignment:

Our client is seeking a senior SAP consultant with experience from both SAP SAP CATS and SAP Roles & Authorizations to join the team. As a SAP CATS Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP CATS solutions to streamline time tracking and reporting processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to understand business requirements, design solution strategies, and deliver high-quality SAP CATS solutions that align with organization's time management needs.

As a SAP Roles and Authorizations Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SAP security roles and authorizations to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of SAP systems and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to define security requirements, develop role-based access controls, and enforce compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

    Key Responsibilities for CATS:

    1. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze time tracking requirements, including employee time entry, absence management, project time allocation, and labor cost reporting.
    2. Solution Design: Design end-to-end SAP CATS solutions based on industry best practices, considering business requirements, time management processes, regulatory compliance, and organizational objectives.
    3. Configuration and Customization: Configure SAP CATS module to meet specific business requirements, including user interfaces, time entry methods, approval workflows, validation rules, and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., HR, Project Systems, Controlling).
    4. Integration: Define integration points between SAP CATS and other SAP modules, third-party systems, and external data sources to ensure seamless data flow and process integration. Implement interfaces for data exchange and synchronization between SAP CATS and other systems.
    5. Testing: Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate SAP CATS configurations, customizations, and integrations. Ensure system functionality, data accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    6. Training and Documentation: Develop end-user training materials, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to employees and managers on using SAP CATS for time tracking and reporting. Document solution design, configuration, and processes for knowledge sharing and future reference.
    7. User Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users for SAP CATS-related issues. Address user queries, resolve system errors, and provide guidance on best practices for time entry and reporting.

    2. Role Design and Configuration: Design and configure SAP security roles, profiles, and authorizations based on business requirements, industry best practices, and SAP security standards. Develop role-based access controls (RBAC) and enforce principle of least privilege (PoLP) to limit access to sensitive data and functionalities.
    3. User Provisioning and Maintenance: Implement user provisioning and de-provisioning processes to manage user access throughout the user lifecycle. Coordinate with HR teams and system administrators to ensure timely provisioning of access for new hires and termination of access for departing employees.
    4. Segregation of Duties (SoD) Analysis: Perform SoD analysis to identify and remediate conflicts of interest and potential risks associated with user access. Define and implement mitigating controls, role restrictions, and monitoring mechanisms to address identified risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    5. Authorization Testing and Validation: Develop and execute authorization testing plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate SAP security configurations and controls. Conduct periodic security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, assess security posture, and implement remediation measures as needed.
    6. Security Documentation and Reporting: Document SAP security design, configuration settings, and user access controls for audit and compliance purposes. Prepare security reports, dashboards, and metrics to communicate security posture, risk exposure, and compliance status to stakeholders and management.
    7. Security Incident Response: Respond to security incidents and breaches related to SAP systems and authorizations. Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and mitigate risks to the organization.
