The FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk solution helps firms quickly enter new markets and support new strategies. We deliver real-time controls for trading, order management, profit & loss and position keeping with risk management, all on one platform for both sell-side and buy-side.

About the role
As a developer in our Market Integration team you will be challenged with a wide range of tasks, ranging from design, development and maintenance of our solution. The Market Integration team is responsible for the integration solution to exchanges globally as well as integration to alternative trading platforms and broker networks. The solution is based on back-end modules with very demanding requirements on low latency as well as high throughput. We have a test-driven development process, and the development is done with in-house developed frameworks using UML, pre-processing and a C like mapping language in parallel with standard C++ and Python.

We will offer you challenges, where understanding market and customer requirements and solving problems is a key part, in combination with creating advanced technical solutions. You will be part of an Agile Scrum team with skilled and motivated developers and QA that take full responsibility for its solution which includes both working on continuous improvements as well as innovations. By working closely together with Developers and the Product Owner in your Scrum team you will get a deep understanding of market needs.

Position requirements

We expect you to have the following:

• M Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering Physics or similar degree.
• 5+ years of experience in system software development.
• Experience in an object-oriented language like Python or C++.
• Have knowledge about tools like Jira, GitHub, containerization tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to understand and debug complex systems.
• Ability to work in an international, fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality software in a timely manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with developing high-performance and scalable software.
• A great interest in learning the financial markets.

Added bonus if you have:

• Experience with electronic trading systems and protocols, such as FIX and market data feeds.
• Familiarity with industry-standard trading platforms and software, such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv or SWIFT.
• Knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management.
