    Job Description

Do you want to be a part of shaping the future of Scandinavia's biggest hotel chain? Now you have the chance to enter an innovative and creative phase in the history of Scandic Hotels that will give you multiple opportunities to impact future guest experiences by being a crucial part of the Design team in the E-Commerce & Digital Development department.

The Design team at Scandic are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We work together with stakeholders to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products capabilities and personalities. Our work touches thousands of guests every day while exemplifying a key principle that is core to Scandic's philosophy: "Focus on the user and all else will follow."

As part of the Design team at Scandic you will work closely together with a talented team of UI and UX designers to innovate for growth in our apps and web. You will also collaborate with product owners, content strategists and developers. With a truly customer centric approach the aim is to inspire new guests to stay with Scandic and to make existing guests come back again and again. The five stages of travel; dreaming, planning, booking, experiencing and sharing are all part of our focus.

You ́re a curious, open minded and easy-going UX designer with the end user in focus. The Scandic values about being "caring", "bold", "pro" and "you" resonate with you, and you intuitively understand that collaboration is the key to success. You excel when crafting prototypes explaining and validating complex user flows. You enjoy taking part in user research to really get to know our users. Experience in e-commerce or the hospitality industry is a great asset but not a requirement. If you also have an understanding of CRO, that's a plus.

Being a UX designer at Scandic means crafting low-fi and hi-fi wireframes, user flows and prototypes together with stakeholders and design team colleagues. You will validate your work by user research. The collaboration within the design team is tight and we work in agile sprints with rituals such as design crits, reviews and retrospectives.
