- Serve as a collaborative leader and coordinator within cross-disciplinary teams.
- Work together with your directors and lead to formulate and carry through the game vision and desired player experience.
- Design, implement, iterate, balance, and tune game mechanics and systems.
- Work closely with the rest of the game design team to ensure a cohesive player experience.
- Work closely with other departments to produce game design documentation and validate experiences through prototyping, playtesting, and iteration.
- Mentor and coach other game designers.
- At least 6+ years experience as game designer within the games industry.
- At least 2+ years of experience working as game designer in AAA games.
- Shipped at least 1 title as a Senior Game Designer.
- Passionate about the player experience and committed to a cross-disciplinary and playtest-driven development environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a commitment to ensuring a constructive and collaborative work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience coordinating a game design team to deliver a major gameplay feature.
- Game design experience in multiplayer/co-op shooter games.
- Experience in game design for networked multiplayer games, such as player progression, balancing, social systems, economies, or customization/in-game editors.
- Knowledge of progression, metagame and economy systems in AAA and live service games.
- Experience with prototyping in Unreal or similar 3D Engines.
- Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g. C++, C#, Lua, etc.).
