    We are recruiting a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Alzinova, a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing novel disease-modifying treatments for Alzheimer's disease with the aim of making it possible for patients to live an independent and active life. Alzinova's treatment concept focuses specifically on the neurotoxic oligomeric forms of amyloid-beta and is thus completely different from antibody candidates in clinical development. Alzinova's lead candidate, ALZ-101, is in clinical development as a therapeutic vaccine for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and the full results of the study are expected to be available in Q1, 2024. The world's first oligomer-specific vaccine in clinical development has the potential to become "best in class" treatment for Alzheimer's disease, and this gives hope to millions of patients. Given the fact that very few options for treatment are available, and the enormous size of the Alzheimer patient population, Alzinova faces an exciting journey ahead.

    Alzinova is listed on NASDAQ First North Growth in Stockholm, Sweden (ticker: ALZ). Office is located in AstraZeneca BioVenture Hub, Mölndal. Overall responsibilities.
    As CFO you are fully responsible for Accounting and Financial Management, both strategically and operationally. This includes all financial reporting and control, business control, capital budgeting, financial analysis, and communication around corporate valuation. Daily bookkeeping and salaries are outsourced but you should be prepared to work hands on with other tasks. The role also includes assisting the CEO in matters relating to personnel and administration as well as negotiations with financial institutions and other counterparties.

    You will also be responsible for keeping the company compliant and to the NASDAQ First North Growth Stockmarket rules and policies. You will have a central role in preparing information to external stakeholders and investors. As CFO, you will be part of the Executive Management Team, involved in company strategical decisions and report to the Chief Executive Officer.

    Requirements

    • Relevant education for the role.
    • Experience as CFO or similar position at a publicly listed company. Biotech, Life Science, or Drug Development industry experience is an advantage but not seen as necessary.
    • Vast experience in Accounting and Financial Management.
    • Experience of investor relations and capital raising/corporate finance.
    • As a person you are meticulous, structured and methodical, you are used to take full responsibility from analyzing and solving tasks to documentation and follow up. You are also analytical, with a strategic and yet operational mindset. We believe that you have a strong and ambitious personality, you are proactive and driven by achieving results. You are also an excellent communicator and fluent in English.
