We're supporting a leading electrified powertrain programme and are now looking for an experienced Senior Engineer – Energy Management (Hybrid Powertrains) to provide critical delivery support within a hybrid and electric vehicle development team.

The position is a key backfill within the Energy Management function.

The team is currently covering the workload internally, but additional senior expertise is required to safeguard project timelines and maintain delivery quality across ongoing and upcoming hybrid/EV programmes.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on optimizing energy distribution and propulsion control across multiple power sources to enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Due to the nature of the work, full access to vehicles, test cell environments, and calibration equipment is required.

You will be required to be on-site 100% in Gothenburg.

Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in energy management for hybrid and/or electric vehicle powertrains
Hands-on calibration experience (e.g. INCA, MDA, Creta or similar tools)
Strong MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python capability
ECU system-level testing experience
Solid understanding of powertrain systems and control strategies
Experience working in vehicle and/or test cell validation environments
Strong propulsion control and torque management background

Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience coordinating energy flow during traction and regenerative braking
High-voltage battery energy balance management experience
Experience with drivability optimisation
Transmission management exposure
Alternative calibration tools within electrified powertrain environments
