IES Årsta is looking for a Science/English teacher
Internationella Engelska Skolan Årsta is looking for a Science and English teacher for our grade 4's. IES Årsta is a school where commitment, high academic achievements, and diversity are at the forefront. We are very proud of our international community among both students and staff and see this as a unique strength in our organisation. We have 700 students in grades 4-9 and 75 staff members. The school is located in Årsta, close to both Gullmarsplan and Årstaberg with very good bus connections.
The position
As a teacher at IES Årsta you will be teaching year 4 in both English and Science. You will be responsible for your lessons, such as planning, executing, grading and following up with parents. You will have continuous communication with parents through phone calls and meetings. You will also closely collaborate with your fellow teachers and uphold the IES ethos. You will also have a shared mentor class with one of our wonderful teachers.
Qualifications
We believe that you hold a degree in Science and English education or a degree which is equivalent to that. As a person you are passionate about teaching and want to see your students develop their knowledge with your guidance. You are creative and willing to go the extra mile for your students and colleagues. You possess the tools to create a good learning environment in the classroom where your clear leadership and teaching style contribute to your students' success.
You can adapt your teaching to reach different students and, in collaboration with our student health team and special educators, work inclusively with students who have special needs. For us, continuous, clear feedback to students and parents is a must, and you see it as a natural part of your teaching. In this feedback, you provide information about both progress and areas for development and improvement.
This is a temporary full-time position starting in August 2024 until December 2024.

Internationella Engelska Skolan Årsta är en grundskola för årskurs 4-9 med ca 700 elever och 80 anställda. IES Årsta är en skola där engagemang, höga studieresultat och mångfald står i centrum. Arbetsbeskrivning
Som lärare på IES Årsta kommer du att undervisa årskurs 4 i både Engelska och Naturvetenskap. Du kommer att vara ansvarig för dina lektioner, såsom planering, genomförande, betygsättning och uppföljning med föräldrar. Du kommer att ha kontinuerlig kommunikation med föräldrar genom telefonsamtal och möten. Du kommer också att samarbeta nära med dina kollegor och upprätthålla IES etos. Du kommer även att ha en gemensam mentorgrupp med en av våra underbara lärare.

Vi tror att du är en behörig lärare inom NO och engelska eller har en likvärdig utbildning. Som person brinner du för undervisning och vill se dina elever utveckla sin kunskap med din vägledning. Du är kreativ och vill gå den extra milen för dina elever och kollegor. Du besitter verktygen för att skapa en god lärmiljö i klassrummet där din tydliga ledarstil och undervisningsstil bidrar till dina elevers framgång.
Du kan anpassa din undervisning för att nå olika elever och, i samarbete med vårt elevhälsoteam och specialpedagoger, arbeta inkluderande med elever som har särskilda behov. För oss är kontinuerlig, tydlig återkoppling till elever och föräldrar ett måste, och du ser det som en naturlig del av din undervisning. I denna återkoppling ger du information om både framsteg och områden för utveckling och förbättring.
Du bör ha erfarenhet av att ha arbetat som lärare eller tidigare erfarenhet av att arbeta i en skola.
