We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to perform the analysis and testing of cartons and packaging materials.

This position is located in the Department of Material Analysis which includes Paperboard & Packaging Material analysis. We welcome candidates with the right mindset and interest in working in a laboratory environment performing tasks with good care and having analytical thinking.

Your daily tasks may include:

• Working in a material analysis laboratory environment
• Prepare and analyze paperboard and packaging material using laboratory instruments.
• Collect data and write results in laboratory reports.
• Order and data handling using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Communication with internal and external stakeholders about orders and test results
• Participate in laboratory quality improvement activities

Examples of test methods:

• Paperboard analysis
• Packaging material mechanical and physical properties
• Adhesion between packaging material layers
• Air entrapment & image analysis on packaging materials
• Thickness and weight of material layer structures
• Bending force
• Geometrical dimensions

Required Skills:

• Technical or scientific background.
