- Higher degree in software development or data science
- At least a first experience as (fullstack or backend) developer, ideally in a Time/ Payroll services context, or in similar banking or business systems
- Any experience in Machine Learning with NPL and test automation will give you a headstart

- Develop the Business Rules module to streamline functions in SD Worx Payroll regarding calculation rules for laws and agreements.
- Work with payroll engine, delivery of business rule updates, debugging, database-related data tasks in the system.
- Create SQL scripts for corrections, updates, etc.
- Initiate and develop automations of business rules and associated processes.
- Investigate possibilities of using AI to streamline solutions or create new features.
- Participate in the team for the development of the payroll engine and contribute as backup, verify processes and procedures.

Your role
As a Database Engineer in the Business Rules unit, you will work to simplify, further develop, and automate our solution for implementing and delivering collective agreements and regulations in our software SD Worx Payroll.
In this role, you will have ample opportunity to influence your work. You will specify requirements and database model the solution in collaboration with our Product Owner.
You work closely with our Application Developers and Data Scientists who build user interfaces and process engines. The Business Rules unit also has responsibility for 3rd line support regarding regulations and the product. This means that you participate in the joint work to support customers in incoming support cases, in processes, with automation, and new/changed solutions as part of the daily work.
