    Wolt is a Helsinki-based technology company that provides an online platform for consumers, merchants and couriers. It connects people looking to order food and other goods with people interested in selling and delivering them. To enable this, Wolt develops a wide range of technologies from local logistics to retail software and financial solutions – as well as operating its own grocery stores under the Wolt Market brand. Wolt's products include Wolt+ (subscription service for customers), Wolt for Work (meal benefits and office deliveries for companies), Wolt Drive (fast last-mile deliveries for merchants) and Wolt Self-Delivery (service for merchant partners with their own delivery staff). Wolt's mission is to make cities better by empowering and growing local communities. Wolt was founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022. DoorDash operates in 29 countries today, 25 of which are with the Wolt product and brand.

    Job Description



    We are now looking to increase our focus on the traffic engineering aspects of our platform: it is a fast moving, highly critical area where complexity can grow quickly. We would love to see you joining our experienced team as a Cloud Networking Engineer Our platform runs on AWS infrastructure. You will be working with VPC networking & Transit Gateways, Cloudfront CDN & Shield DDoS protection, EKS Kubernetes clusters & Ingress Controllers and be able to evolve our networking architecture and observability.

    We will start with a small team of traffic engineers working within the Infrastructure team with the longer-term goal of owning the traffic and connectivity space end-to-end In 2024 we will revisit our architectural choices in this domain and build for the future: scale, security, observability, automation and operability. There is a lot of ground to cover and work to be doneThis role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki or Stockholm, or you can work remotely anywhere in Finland or Sweden.     Qualifications

    • You are no stranger to large scale, high performance environments with constant change. You are able to architect, select and implement solutions in your technical domain.
    • You have a strong background in networking and traffic engineering, you're able to work up and down the stack from tcpdump to headers and gRPC. You're comfortable with public cloud networking solutions at scale (AWS) and have exposure to network security tools, practices and solutions.
    • You feel right at home working with public clouds, infra-structure-as-code (Terraform), containers, Kubernetes etc and understand the importance of automation.

    The compensation will be a combination of monthly pay and DoorDash RSUs. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you'll own a piece of the pie.
