    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our mission of creating a greener future. Based in Skellefteå, you will be part of an excellent team involved in the development of one of Europe's first large-scale battery factories.

    Job Overview:

    This role involves leading the commissioning of innovative equipment and processes, optimizing process equipment, and designing mechanical improvements. You will ensure that equipment installation meets our approved design, quality standards, and schedules as specified in design documentation and quality plans.

    Main Responsibilities:

    1. Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and pre-commissioning activities of equipment and subsystems.
    2. Review engineering and HSE documents to ensure commissioning and startup requirements are integrated into the design.
    3. Represent us during all site mechanical inspections.
    4. Approve and assist in executing equipment commissioning, qualification, and validation documentation, including FAT, SAT, and SOPs.
    5. Collaborate with engineering, project, and operations teams for the final handover of new equipment, providing final sign-off on tested equipment.

    Requirements:

    1. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    2. At least 5 years of experience in Equipment Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation.
    3. Experience working in fast-paced environments, preferably in metal recycling, mineral, or hydrometallurgy processing.
    4. Proficient in risk assessments, gap assessments, and change controls.
    5. Excellent English written and oral communication skills.

    Bonus Points:

    1. Familiarity with ASME, API standards, and reliability best practices.
    2. Experience in reviewing, designing, and selecting pumps, compressors, blowers, conveyor belts, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, storage vessels, filters, and solid handling systems.
    3. Knowledge in corrosion and material compatibility.

    This is a full-time employment position with a fixed salary of approximately $85,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
