    The Role

    As a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Energy team, you are involved in every step of the development process - from initial idea to final product. This is a varied job where you work in challenging projects together with other talented engineers, and where you influence our future solutions. You work with creative design and analytical work in combination with more practical activities.

    The Energy team, together with Atlas Copco Bolting Solutions (UK), are responsible for a product portfolio consisting of advanced hydraulic tensioning tools, hydraulic torque wrenches and electric high torque power tools for the Energy industry. We also support other teams with their product portfolio of Atlas Copco's bolting solutions. We work in cross-functional and agile teams, and the solutions we develop are used to improve efficiency, quality, safety, speed, ergonomics and environmental performance. We interact frequently with other development teams, marketing, sourcing, manufacturing and testing teams.

    Some of your missions:

  • Design of components and mechanisms (from concept to release to production)
  • Present and hold 3D model meetings with technical solutions
  • Perform structural analysis (hand calculation and FEA) calculations
  • Produce technical documentation for both internal and external use
  • Investigate new solutions to improve sustainability, performance or reliability
  • Interact with engineering, marketing, sourcing, manufacturing and testing teams
  • Assist in design validation testing (endurance, performance, drop)
  • City: Nacka, Stockholm. We have a hybrid workplace.
    You will need

  • A master's degree in mechanical design engineering or other relevant academic education.
  • Relevant experience from designing mechanical systems and industrial equipment.
  • Experience working with CREO, PDM, Microsoft .
  • Fluency in English.
  • Knowledge of power transmission, gear box technology, manufacturing technics (machining, casting, injection molding, AM), motors, electronics equipment is qualifying.
