We're looking for a Production Director for our AAA open-world game, Contraband This full-time position at our Stockholm location boasts the opportunity for flexible remote work arrangements alongside a talented team from around the world. As the Production Director, you will be the production leader. Working closely with our top team of Producers to ensure the creative vision of the game is achieved. Your focus will mainly be internal, to deliver the overall game together with the Directors, the Project Director, and Executive Producer. You will be part of the Senior Project Management with a core focus around delivering on time and to budget.
What you'll do

• Collaborate closely with the Executive producer, Project Director and all content directors to evaluate the overall vision and project requirements of the game.
• Help define the scope of the project, establishing a high-level roadmap, timeline, key deliverables, milestones, and development strategies and budgets.
• Proactively anticipate and identify potential risks and setbacks, implementing plans to address and overcome them effectively.
• Establish communication channels to enhance collaboration and interaction among colleagues and especially other Avalanche studios in other locations.
• Regularly monitor progress and coordinate with the production team to ensure the project stays on schedule.
• Engage in reflective analysis to assess what is effective and what needs improvement, identifying areas for enhancing our processes, methods, and practices.
• Manage and coach the production team and help them evolve
• Consistently balance time vs quality vs budget to manage the scope and delivery of the game with the Project Director and content directors.

Who you are

• Several years of experience in overseeing production in the video game industry, ideally having shipped 1 game as Production or Development Director.
• At least 1 shipped AAA game, ideally from conception to completion.
• Extensive understanding of development pipelines, interdependencies and familiarity with managing large team production.
• A commitment to collaboration and fostering a cooperative mindset.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Awareness of the repercussions of your decisions on the creative process and overall game scope and scale vs quality.

Our Stockholm office is situated in Södermalm, the beating heart of the city's game industry. It's a physical representation of our games – the lush vegetation of Just Cause and theHunter: Call of the Wild meets corroded metal straight out of Mad Max.
