We are seeking a Head of Security to join the management team for Tech and drive our security strategy forward, while building a high-performing technology department.

    Overview We are a technology company operating in a trust business with high expectations on user experience. Our success is as dependent on rapid innovation as it is on protecting our customers' data and assets. Key to our success is turning innovation and security into everyone's responsibility. This is the rationale behind our 'shift-left' approach to security, which engages our entire 250-person Tech department in actively contributing to protecting our platform. We are searching for a visionary leader who can create and implement a security strategy that aligns with our 'shift-left' approach, balancing our need for high-paced innovation with the necessary controls and security associated with running a licensed business. Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and execute a security strategy that balances team autonomy and alignment with Nordnet's security objectives
    • Lead and support the security team and promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
    • Evolve and uphold Nordnet's capability to monitor threats and vulnerabilities as well as detect, investigate, respond to and recover from incidents
    • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to embed security considerations in all Tech teams and departments
    • Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization
    • Stay ahead of emerging security trends, regulations, and technologies to continuously enhance our security posture

    This Is You
    • Experienced in managing security teams within dynamic, tech-driven environments.
    • Seasoned in pragmatic application of security frameworks such as NIST
    • Proficient in designing and implementing comprehensive security frameworks, policies, and practices.
    • Skilled in crisis management, with the ability to lead effectively during security incidents.
    • Strong communicator and capable of facilitating collaboration across departments.
    • Passionate about developing teams, promoting security awareness, and driving cultural change.
    • Experience with cloud security and infrastructure is desirable.
    • Experience as Information/IT Security specialists, Security Engineer or similar positions within tech-driven environments
    • Formal education in a relevant field
