    Appostrophe is a mobile app development company creating easy-to-use design tools that unlock people's creativity. Our portfolio consists of top-listed apps such as SCRL, Text Art, and Add Text that are used and loved by millions of people worldwide. We're a small, ambitious team that enjoys working together in central Stockholm and are looking for more like-minded people to join our mission.

    We are looking for a talented Senior Android Engineer to help build, maintain, and optimize advanced creativity apps as an integral part of a dynamic product development team.

    What you will do

    • Create high-quality and robust features, owning the development process from planning to final delivery.
    • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to plan and ensure high-quality results.
    • Work with the engineering team to ensure best practices and code standards are followed.
    • Leverage usage data and experimentation results to evaluate the performance and impact of released features, troubleshoot potential issues, and ideate new hypotheses for further iterations.
    • Create and improve cross-app libraries to improve our productivity and workflow.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the Android ecosystem (developer tools, new Android APIs).
    • Take an active role in roadmap planning, code reviews, problem solving, and testing sessions.

    You should have

    • Extensive experience in Android development and Kotlin.
    • Experience working on consumer apps with large user bases.
    • A proven track record of delivering excellent and reliable code.
    • A talent for technical problem solving and designing effective and maintainable abstractions.
    • An ability to communicate concepts and solutions clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders.
    • An ability to work at a high pace without compromising quality.
    • A can-do attitude. Be a self-motivated problem solver with an eye for details and an internal drive for excellence.
