    Social Worker for Youth Unit

    Your Role

    We are looking for a Social Worker with strong analytical and empathetic skills to work with youth aged 13-21 and their families. Join a team of 9 Social Workers and an Assistant Unit Manager.

    Your responsibilities include assessing support needs, making decisions on interventions, and overseeing outpatient care and placements according to regulations. Collaborate with schools, police, and other relevant parties to ensure the well-being of the youth.

    Travel may be required for urgent placements and follow-ups with caregivers and treatment families.

    Your Skills and Experience

    • Social Worker degree and prior experience in child welfare.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Previous experience in BBIC.
    • Knowledge of SAVRY and ADAD is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Signs of Safety is beneficial.
    • Understanding of Risk Assessment and engagement.
    • Independence, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively and engage with family networks and stakeholders.
    • Openness to new practices and interest in developing operational methods.
    • Understanding of social service mandates and political organizational dynamics.
