    Assignment description

    We are now looking for a Content Strategist on the behalf of our client.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop the content strategy for the developer portal.
    • Overall responsible for the website that includes compliance with Sony website policies (content, branding, user data privacy, social media accounts) and legal requirements.
    • Lead a team of API technical writers and marketers and cooperate closely with Developer Partner Engineers/Advocates and devportal infrastructure team to deliver a consistent and cohesive DX.
    • Influence top managers & stakeholders to make developer engagement a priority for them & their teams.
    • Create and execute developer marketing campaigns that drives adoption and leads.
    • Produce content with product teams such as developer guides, blog posts, infographics, customer case studies, white papers, videos, code samples, surveys to increase awareness and support thought leadership efforts.
    • Create compelling content that translates technical information into logical, readable, and understandable content.
    • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile and video.
    • Establish style guides that specify the writing style and tone needed to create engaging content.
    • Constantly monitor effectiveness, establish key analytics and success metrics and continuously refine the strategy as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Understanding of the developer audience, device SDKs, REST APIs and how these tools enable business.
    • Demonstrated ability to build & execute a marketing and content strategy with clear goals & objectives for devportals or product websites targeting developer audience.
    • Sound knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS), keyword research tools, social media platforms, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
    • Working knowledge of user data privacy policies, website accessibility standards and company branding policies.
    • Proven work experience creating and editing technical content for target audiences across all platforms. Previous experience may include writing technical topics as API technical writer or similar.
    • Proven team leadership skills, especially cross-functional team leadership experience, with strong bias for driving outcomes.
    • Excellent communication skills to communicate content design work, information architecture, and the rationale behind proposals. A plus if you have experience communicating on senior manager/director level.
    • A growth mindset. Willingness to own problems and drive projects to completion. Comfort with ambiguity. A healthy balance of humility and confidence.
    • Able to operate successfully in a rapidly changing, ambiguous and undefined environment.

    Candidates must provide recent samples of relevant work demonstrating an ability to analyze user, client and project needs, and develop and execute relevant content strategy.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • An appreciation of the entire product development process, from problem solving through to detailed information architecture and content design.
    • The ability to create mockups of your content using Figma or similar.
    • Hands-on experience working as part of a team to create content design standards, frameworks, and a style guide to help us scale.
    • Familiarity with Docs-as-code philosophy for documentation such as AsciiDoc, Markdown, Git, and REST API formats
    • Experience with implementing marketing and content strategies and producing associated marketing programs & materials.
    • Experience working in or ability to navigate a multicultural and multi-site large corporate environment, experience with Japanese stakeholders is a big plus.
