    Sjuksköterska / NephroCare Dialysis Nurse

    Vi söker Sjuksköterska till Dialysklinik i Trelleborg. Verksamheten startade i maj 2009 och bedrivs i nyrenoverade lokaler på Trelleborgs lasarettsområdet.

    Vi söker dig som är bered at ta egna initiativ med ett stort eget ansvar och som vill arbeta för en privat vårdgivare. Erfarenhet av arbete med dialys meriteras.

    Caring for patients in accordance with doctor's orders and dialysis nursing standards and internal company standards and striving to promote patients' good health and quality of life

    Tasks

    1) Key tasks:

    Handling and treatment of patients:

  • Evaluate the patient's condition before, during and after dialysis and inform the doctor if there are any significant changes occur in the following: general health status, weight, heart rate and blood pressure, body temperature, blood flow, etc.
  • Comply with local and business-level safety, hygiene, and infection control regulations, in particular NC's guidelines for good dialysis care and hygiene and infection control.
  • Performs the connection and disconnection of the patient.
  • Takes care of proper anticoagulation of the extracorporeal circuit and administers the medicine during treatment in accordance with the patient's treatment prescription.
  • Monitor the patient's condition during treatment and notify the doctor of any changes that occur that require treatment.
  • Manages tunneled and non-tunneled central venous catheters appropriately.
  • Advises the patient in matters relating to the patient's health, such as nutrition, hygiene, and fistula care.
  • Assists the patient in stopping bleeding after dialysis if necessary.
  • Take blood samples for laboratory tests.
  • Performs necessary interventions and resuscitation measures in an emergency.
  • Handles (prepares and distributes) meals to patients when needed.
  • Assess patients when they arrive at and leave the dialysis unit as needed.
  • Prepares beds/chairs for patients as needed.
  • Prepares and dispenses medicine and anticoagulants.
  • Dialysis accessories and disposable parts:

  • Checks the availability, appropriateness and integrity of disposable parts used in dialysis, disinfectants and other necessary materials and medicines at the dialysis station before treatment.
  • Bring dialysis supplies from storage to dialysis treatment room in accordance with current hygiene and infection control policies.
  • Supervises and/or performs the collection of non-medical and medical waste in accordance with current hygiene and infection management practices.
  • To use a dialysis machine:

  • Starts the machine, performs internal and external disinfection of the machine, connects bicarbonate and other disposable parts, and performs all other necessary tests and procedures before, during and after treatment.
  • Notifies the clinic manager of any abnormalities in the operation of the machine.
  • Pre-fills circuits and connects blood hoses and needles in accordance with current practices.
  • Determines the treatment parameters according to doctor's treatment prescription.
  • Performs system start-up and shutdown procedures, when necessary, e.g., water system and CDS.
  • Checks the service sticker, potential balancing cables and the state of the latest hydraulic disinfection.
  • Can perform a dialysis machine change.
  • Documentation:

  • Performs the documentation of the treatment in accordance with current practices.
  • Cooperation with others:

  • Supports, helps, and guides other nurses as needed and guides less experienced staff when instructed by the Clinic Manager.
  • Gives all necessary information to nurses or doctors, and other professionals for the next shift.
  • Peritoneal dialysis tasks (if applicable):

  • Instruct the patient on hygiene, nutrition, and the basics of peritoneal dialysis for CAPD and APD, complications and emergencies.
  • Participates in the initiation of peritoneal dialysis and supports the completion of the treatment.
  • Assess the patient's condition and document the following information regularly: blood pressure, heart rate, oedema manifestation, body temperature, diuresis, body weight and ultrafiltration.
  • Ensures that patients perform peritoneal dialysis correctly.
  • Monitors and is responsible for the hygiene of the peritoneal dialysis treatment room, including the proper disposal of contaminated waste.
  • Accurately assess the patient's condition in accordance with the instructions given by the doctor, performing the following procedures:ensure the taking, storage and dispatch of laboratory samples.compiles the test results and store them in the patient's the patient to tests according to the doctor's recommendationperform the necessary QA tests for peritoneal dialysis.
