I am pleased to introduce myself on this platform as a professional with a diverse and enriching background that spans both the hairdressing industry and the academic field of Digital Library and Information Science.

I began my career in the hairdressing world in Spain, developing a solid foundation in styling and customer service. At the age of 20, I moved to London to join Vidal Sassoon, where, through hard work and dedication, I rose to the position of assistant manager and was part of the team responsible for opening a new salon in Berlin. These experiences not only honed my technical skills but also allowed me to develop leadership and management competencies in multicultural environments.

After returning to the UK, I chose to broaden my educational horizons and pursued a degree in Public Relations, financing my studies while continuing to work in hairdressing. Although my initial goal was to transition into the field of public relations, the job market at the time was not prepared to welcome a mature professional like myself. This led me back to hairdressing, culminating in the creation of a successful salon in Southampton, UK, together with two partners. For nine years, I led this business, gaining valuable experience in business management, customer service, and team development.

I later returned to London, where I took on the challenge of managing a large central London salon and led the assistant training program. These roles allowed me to further solidify my management skills, ensure client satisfaction, and keep the team at the forefront of industry trends.

Life eventually brought me to Sweden, where, despite the different challenges in the hairdressing sector, I worked as a barber, adapting to a new environment and continuing my professional development. However, over time, I decided it was time for a change. This led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Digital Library and Information Science, which I recently completed with an A on my master’s thesis.

My professional journey has equipped me with a wide range of transferable skills, which I am confident will be of great value in various sectors. While my direct experience in some areas may be limited, I trust that my ability to learn, adaptability, and personality will allow me to successfully tackle any challenge. I firmly believe that while technical skills can be acquired, the right personality is something innate and cannot be taught.

Although I currently reside in Sweden, I am fully available to work remotely, leveraging digital tools to contribute effectively to your organization from a distance.
